Useful Routine is operated by Semiuseful Corporation.

What We Collect

  • Account details you provide (for example: name, email, and sign-in information).
  • Billing and subscription information, such as your plan, billable quantity, price and currency, trial and billing-period dates, subscription and payment status, whether a payment method is on file, and related invoice, transaction, and billing-event information.
  • Product usage information needed to run and improve the service.
  • Security and fraud-prevention data, such as IP address, user agent, TLS and browser characteristics, site origin, and verification results, when you use protected forms.
  • Analytics data such as page views, navigation, clicks and other interactions, browser and device information, referrers, and general location derived from an IP address when you accept optional analytics. Depending on site configuration, this may also include session replay, survey, performance, or error information.
  • Advertising measurement data, such as selected page visits, completed signups, routine creation, browser and device information, and advertising identifiers, when advertising tracking is configured and you enable it.

Payment methods are entered on pages hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects the payment method and related billing information requested on those pages. Useful Routine does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes.

How We Use Data

  • To provide, secure, and maintain Useful Routine.
  • To administer plans, trials, subscriptions, and billable quantities; process and verify payments; provide invoices; respond to payment failures, refunds, and disputes; and determine access to paid features.
  • To communicate important service or account updates.
  • To improve product reliability and features.
  • To measure and improve advertising when you enable advertising tracking.
  • To prevent fraud, keep financial records, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and payment-network requirements.

Data Sharing

  • We do not sell personal data for money. If you enable advertising tracking, sharing data with an advertising platform may qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws. You can turn advertising off in Cookie Settings; we also honor Global Privacy Control.
  • We share data with service providers that process data on our behalf to operate and improve Useful Routine.
  • We use Stripe for customer and subscription records, hosted payment-method collection and billing management, payment and invoice processing, and fraud prevention. We provide Stripe with information such as the account name, internal account and subscription identifiers, account type, selected plan, billable quantity, and relevant transaction context. When you use a Stripe-hosted page, Stripe may also collect payment-method, billing, contact, device, browser, IP address, and fraud-prevention information directly from you. Stripe may process this information on our behalf and for its own security, fraud-prevention, legal-compliance, and payment-network purposes, as described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated traffic and protect account access, account creation, and password reset requests. Cloudflare processes security signals as described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile does not receive the contents of protected forms from us.
  • Depending on site configuration, we use PostHog, Google Analytics, and Vercel Analytics to measure product and website usage after analytics consent.
  • These analytics providers may use cookies or browser storage and assign browser or session identifiers. We may associate signed-in usage with a stable user identifier, and PostHog may also receive the user's email address, so we can understand how people use and improve Useful Routine.
  • When configured and you enable advertising, we use the Reddit Pixel to share selected page visits, completed signups, and routine creation events with Reddit for attribution, measurement, and advertising optimization. Reddit may associate browser, device, and advertising identifiers with your Reddit account or ad interactions. See the Reddit Privacy Policy. We do not explicitly include email addresses or routine contents in Reddit event parameters.

Cookies and Browser Storage

We use essential browser storage for authentication, security, consent choices, and features you request. Analytics and advertising are separate optional choices, both off until enabled. You can use the service with both off. When you withdraw an enabled choice, we remove recognized cookies for that category available to this site and reload the page to stop previously loaded tracking. Analytics withdrawal also removes recognized PostHog local storage. Withdrawal does not retract data already sent. See our Cookie Notice for the technologies we use, the temporary signup measurement cookie, and how to change your choices.

When you visit a Stripe-hosted payment or billing page, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Stripe controls those pages and technologies, and your Useful Routine analytics choice does not control them.

Data Retention and Security

  • We keep data for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain accurate billing and accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, and payment-network obligations. Stripe retains information under its own policies.
  • We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
